Arlo is 5 years old, stands at approximately 14.3hh (emh 15hh) and is registered with the Australasian Gypsy Horse Society (75%), Clydesdale Cross Sport Horse Association, and Victorian Pinto Society.

 

He was started under saddle here at Fairfield as a rising 4yo, before being turned out to grow. He had no complaints about coming in from the paddock to be a pleasure pony, and attend a couple of obstacle days.

 

Arlo has returned for some further education and is very much enjoying having a job to do. He is furthering his understanding of the aids, developing a soft frame, and is ready to progress on in any discipline. He is not a hot or kick along pony, and is a smart and comfortable ride, with a great work ethic. He faces new challenges with a good attitude and always seeks to please.

 

Arlo has soft, responsive paces with lovely power behind them that would stand out in the dressage or show ring, and he has been very lightly started over jumps showing a brilliant natural talent. On the trails and roads he looks at his surroundings, and if his rider keeps legs on will march happily on by. Along the roads he has been ponied off other horses, as well as had other horses ponied off him, and is easy to handle either way. Whether he is ridden or floated out alone or in company he will explore without becoming fizzy. He loads & unloads calmly, and will stand happily in the yards or at the float.

Arlo is seeking a confident home where he will have plenty of opportunities to reach his full potential, eat snacks, cuddle, and become your new best friend. We can see Arlo excelling with a teen or adult rider looking for a true all rounder. Due to his age and size we will not consider beginner or child riders at this time.
