Fairfield's Badge Program has been developed by us to celebrate the learning of our riders who attend regular lessons. We want to be able to show off and measure rider's skills without the stress and anxiety of formal tests or assessments. 

 

We seek to uplift our students and support them through all of the ups, downs, and hard work that horses can entail. Through hard work, and determination our students come to learn skills that will benefit them as much around horses as in their daily lives. We hope to have all of our students with us for a long time, and are always seeking to expand our instruction and our programs.

Riders are placed into the colour level that best matches their ability level when they start lessons. As they are able to consistently demonstrate skills in ground work, theory, riding, and some just for fun, they are awarded their badge and a certificate outlining their skills.

 

There will be a number of objectives to focus on in each level, and lessons will still be tailored toward each rider’s chosen discipline and individual goals. Riders all move through the program at a different pace, and we aim to keep our badge program positive and non-competitive!

 

Once all of the badges in a level have been earned, riders will move onto a new level and to more advanced horsemanship. There are also some secret bonus badges to unlock along the way.
