Fairfield Horse Camps are a perfect combination of fun with, learning about, and caring for horses! Everyone is welcome at horse camp - including riders who have not ridden with us before.

Our camp programs include:

  • Special Themes

  • Riding

  • Games in & out of the saddle

  • Obstacle Courses

  • Competitions

  • Grooming

  • Feeding
    ... and more!

We run both half day (2.5 hours) and full day (4 hours) camps, with half day camps being best suited for younger kids / beginners, and full day camps being best suited to kids ready for a bit more independence & responsibility.

What To Expect

Camps are held outdoors on our property, in and around our grass arena and paddocks. So all campers should be sure to come prepared for the weather & hanging out on the farm! Campers will be teamed up with a pony who is "theirs" for the day, and will be responsible for their grooming, tacking, care, riding, and feeding with the help of our instructors and camp helpers. We adapt our program to suit the abilities and interests of each group to ensure a fun day for all.

Our day will start with a quick meeting, to say hello to everyone and go over a safety brief. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to camp so that we can start our meeting on time. Parents are welcome to stay for our meeting, and then it's time to say goodbye and start the horsey fun!

Half day camps will have a brief morning or afternoon tea break, snacks and drinks are provided. Full day camps will have a break for lunch (BYO Lunch) with snacks and drinks provided.  Please pack your own snacks if there any allergies or special dietary concerns.

What To Wear

All visitors MUST wear closed toed shoes, and should dress with the weather in mind. Horse riding is an outdoor activity and visitors are likely to come into contact with horse hair, mud, dirt, etc so dress in clothes appropriate for a day on the farm!

Riders will also need to wear their own helmet, boots, and appropriate clothing to participate in camp activities.

Please also have a read of our Terms and Policies page for further information.
