Floyd is a lovable, 11yo clydie cross gypsy cob gelding standing at aprox 16hh. (He is unregistered, but may be eligible for classification with the CCSHA.)

This man is truly a full package, he has a soft and affectionate nature, strong and smooth paces, and good looks to boot! He is an athletic and nicely forward ride, responsive to his rider, with a good work ethic. For a rider he clicks with, he will truly give everything a try.

​

With his time with us Floyd has expanded upon his flat-work knowledge, attending his first shows and dressage competitions. Floyd was well received by the judges at both events, with compliments to his movement and paces. He was happy to ride to and from his friends, settle in his yard, and warmed up nicely with little fuss and bother.

​

In his jumps education Floyd has done both show jump and cross country schooling, showing ample skill at 80cm, and has schooled individual jumps of 90cm+ showing plenty of scope to move through some heights with more experience. He is a bold jumper, and flew over cross country confidently and smoothly. He enjoyed the water jump, and tried his hoof at a few of the grade 2 jumps with promise.

Out and about down the roads and in the bush Floyd has a lot of experience, and is happy to go for a gentle stroll, or a more active ride. He maintains his good brakes, level head, and can be set on a loose rein.

He is easy to clip, catch, rug, feed, float, feet, lead, tie, wash, plait up, etc.

​

For his own person we are looking for a confident intermediate rider upwards, to bring him to his full potential under saddle. His rider will need an understanding of their aids, as he is kindly responsive to his rider. Though he has been ridden by beginners in the past, he prefers a rider with more knowledge.

​

Floyd enjoys being active, and having a job to do. We can see him being a brilliant all-rounder partner for PC or ARC.

He truly is a friendly and goofy guy, who would love to be your next best friend.

We have opted not to increase his price with further education, as a good home is his family’s priority.
